Lappa & laga. Patch & mend.

Jag har lappat, lagat och piffat upp ett gammalt linne. 

Egentligen har jag inget emot att ha på mig kläder med hål i, tvärtom, det visar att jag inte slösar med Moder Jords resurser, och jag kan till och med tycka att det är snyggt och coolt, men mitt gamla linne såg trist ut och då var gränsen nådd, det var dags att fixa.

 I have patched, repaired and buffed up an old top.
Actually I do not mind wearing clothes with holes, on the contrary, it shows that I'm not wasting Mother Earth's resources, and I can even think that it looks cool, but my old top looked dull and gloomy and then the limit was reached, it was time to fix it.

Jag tryckte tyg till ett annat, historiskt relaterat projekt och mönstret blev så fint att jag även ville ha det på mina nutidskläder så då passade jag på att piffa mitt fina, lila linne som nu var urtvättat och håligt. 

Efter att ha tryckt tittade jag på resultatet, stjärnorna gjorde en väldig skillnad.

 I was printing fabric for another, historically related project and the pattern looked so nice that I wanted it on some contemporary clothes too, so I took the opportunity to spruce up my old purple top which was now washed and wourned out .
After printing I looked at the result, and the stars made ​​a big difference.

Sen var det hålen, vissa var ganska stora och uttänjda. Jag utgick ifrån att jag inte kunde laga hålen osynligt så istället lagade jag dem med broderi. Nu är min rumpa (där de flesta hålen var) strödd med silkebroderi och det är jag ganska förnöjd med.

Then there were the holes, some were quite large and stretched out. I assumed that I could not mend the holes invisibly so instead I repaired them with embroidery. Now my bum (where most of the holes were) is sprinkled with silk embroidery and I am quite contented with that.

Pastille noire.

 En fortsättning på min Pastill-inspiration, som nu verkar bli en serie pastiller, här i mörkgrått garn med guldbroderi, äkta guld såklart, och en vacker sötvattenspärla.
